This section tells you how you can apply for session 2012-2013
You can apply from April of the year that you want to study. You should always apply as early as possible. If you do not get on the course that you originally applied for support for, we can change your application to another course or cancel your application if you contact us.
Closing dates
You should apply to us as soon as possible. If we receive your application after the final closing date, we will not be able to pay your tuition fees.
The final closing dates for receiving postgraduate applications for session 2012-2013 are:
- 30 June 2012 for courses outside Scotland; and
- 31 March 2013 for courses in Scotland.

Processing your application form
If you are studying at a Scottish institution and we receive your correctly completed application by 30 June it will be processed in time for the start of your course.
If you are studying at an institution outside Scotland and apply before the closing date of 30 June 2012, we will make a decision as to who is to receive support and then process your application.
We will assess your entitlement and send you an award notice which will tell you how much you what you are entitled to.
