Ministers and their Responsibilities
The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Michael Russell is responsible for further and higher education, science and lifelong learning, school education, training and skills, HM Inspectorate of Education and the Scottish Qualifications Authority, nurseries and childcare, children's services, children's hearings, social work and HM Social Work Inspectorate.

SAAS Framework Document 2011

SAAS Staff Survey 2011
SAAS participated in the annual Civil Service-wide staff survey which was carried out in 97 organisations, between 19 September and 21 October 2011. Almost 300,000 staff took part, making it the largest staff attitude survey in the UK . The survey is designed to measure different areas of employee engagement, including leadership, change, professional development and fair treatment at work.
